Activities

Young Adult Conference

Our activities are inclusive, in that you are encouraged but not required to participate. Golf carts and wheelchairs are available to ensure that participants can get around campus easily.

In addition to all of our great outdoor recreation, the Young Adult Conference adds a mixture of educational opportunities to the session through guest speakers and interactive workshops.

For the evenings we plan special events designed to enhance community and friendship, but also leave time for participants to just enjoy themselves — by working in the art studio, watching movies, soaking in the hot tub or playing foosball in the rec room. We find that there is ample opportunity for you and your fellow campers to share feelings, thoughts and experiences about living with cancer.

Beyond on-site activities, we usually spend one day off campus. We may go bowling in Deer Lodge, visit a water park in Missoula or mine for sapphires in historic Philipsburg. As an adult conference, attendance is not mandatory at any scheduled Camp event, but we know from experience you’ll want to fit everything Montana and your friends can into this week.

Having a place for young adults with cancer to come together is such an amazing thing, which is hard to find in my own community.

Calendar

From the outside looking in summer may seem like our busy season, but Camp Māk-A-Dream works its magic year-round. From special projects in preparation for our major fundraising events to hosting educational workshops at our Gold Creek campus, we stay busy regardless of the temperature outside. It just happens to be summertime that we especially look forward to.
