This retreat is for teenagers diagnosed with a brain tumor (13-18 years old). Teen heads Up Conference (Teen HUC) is a unique educational program for teen survivors of brain tumors who are dealing with long-term effects of both their disease and its treatment. We offer educational workshops in addition to the numerous recreational opportunities. Workshops offered may cover topics such as relationships, education, community service, navigating the health care system, nutrition, exercise and career choices. Teen HUC offers an opportunity for campers to meet, learn, share and have fun. Swimming, field sports, zip line & climbing wall, hiking, horseback riding and archery are some of the activities offered. Campers also enjoy spending time in the art studio working on projects that range from tie-dye to pottery to jewelry making. Teen HUC is a program done in partnership with the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. Want more info? Check out the Teen HUC page.
Applications open February 1st.
