Each of the Adult Retreats is a blend of educational and recreational activities. Camp offers many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The zip line, climbing wall, hiking, mini-golf and archery are just some of the onsite activities. Participants also enjoy exploring their creative side in the art studio. Facilitated workshops are offered but participants also have the opportunity to spend their free time working on independent projects. During each retreat we host local presenters willing to share their knowledge and talents with the group. Activities may include meditation, painting, yoga or creative writing. In the evening we plan a special events designed to both entertain and enhance community and friendship. Participants may join in a drum circle, dress up for a Hollywood themed party or watch a variety show performed by local actors. Late night, participants are free to soak in the hot tub, work in the art studio, watch movies or sit and talk around a fire.
We also offer a number of educational workshops in addition to numerous recreational opportunities. Workshops covering such topics as relationships, coping with grief and loss, nutrition and exercise may be offered. Although activities vary at each conference, we always make sure to provide a varied program, giving participants plenty of options. Participants are encouraged to take part in as many of the activities offered throughout the retreat as they like – but everything offered at camp is optional. It is important to us that participants get what they need during their stay. Golf carts and wheelchairs are available to ensure that participants can get around campus easily. In addition to our on campus activities, we usually spend one day off campus. We may visit the farmer’s market in Missoula, tour the Capitol in Helena or mine for sapphires in historic Philipsburg. We finish off our week with a banquet dinner and slide show showing highlights from our time together.
