On August 22-23, 2009, Scott Henrikson, Senior Vice President Americas Sales for Coleman, and Martin E. Franklin, Chairman and CEO of Coleman's parent company Jarden Corp., conquered the Leadville (Colo.) Trail 100 Ultramarathon to help raise awareness and funds for Camp Mak-A-Dream.
Henrikson completed the race in an official time of 29 hours, 33 minutes; while Franklin finished in 27 hours, 47 minutes.
"The race was extremely challenging, there were periods when I felt great and then other times that were pretty tough," Henrikson said. "I certainly felt new levels of pain and exhaustion."
"Just before the start of the race, Jennifer Benton from Camp Mak-A-Dream, presented me with a photo album and a note from some of the kids we were helping at the camp," he noted. "Whatever challenges I faced during the run do not compare to what these kids face as they battle cancer. Crossing the finish line was a great sense of accomplishment knowing that we helped this great facility change the lives of these children and their families."
The Coleman campaign raised over $62,000 for Camp Mak-A-Dream in 2009.
Stay tuned for plans surrounding the August 21-22, 2010 Leadville 100 event.

Over the past several years, members of the National Auto Body Council have generously supported Camp through two large fundraising projects:
The Camp Bus
The National Auto Body Council provided a fully equipped bus to transport and serve the campers, which was presented to the Camp at the 2005 NACE convention in Las Vegas. It provides comfort and convenience in transporting campers, upon their arrival in Montana, to the Camp facility 65 miles east of Missoula, as well as for off-campus field trips throughout the season.
The Health Facility
This nonprofit organization made up of collision repair industry professionals also raised $500,000 to help build Camp Mak-A-Dream's new health facility building, allowing us to serve even more participants in the midst of their cancer treatment.
